DirectSound
Programming
| In this
tutorial you'll learn to write, step-by-step, DirectSound based
programs - programs that play sound files using the powerful
DirectSound technology (See Figure 1). |
 |
| Figure
1. You'll learn to write DirectSound based programs that play
sound using DirectSound technology. |
|
You will learn to implement DirectSound based programs that include
the following features:
Mix
several sound files. Mix sound files in real
time (i.e. play several sound files simultaneously).
Change Playback Speed.
Play the sound files at their normal speed or at faster or
slower speeds. You can control the playback speed of each sound file
(even when playing several sounds simultaneously).
Change Volume. Change
the volume level of the sound files. You can control the volume of
each sound file (even when playing several sounds simultaneously).
Pan the Sound. Distribute
different amounts of volume to the right/left speakers. You can
control the panning of each sound file (even when playing several
sounds simultaneously).

worth
double the package price."

"Amazing Wizards. I use the
HTM-To-CHM Wizard
not just for my
programs,
but also for creating electronic
documentation and manuals."
John Coleman - UT, USA
"A complete beginner, I've
tried several VB.net
beginners books with
no success. Finally, your VB.net
QuickStart tutorial did
the job! It
did not assume
any prior knowledge on my part."
Rachel M. - Long Island, NY
"I have been a fan of Gurewich's
programming books for many
years. This course is
no exception. The tutorials are straight to
the point without tedious theory.
And the controls and wizards are extremely
useful and easy to use."
Mark Gordon - Englewood, NJ USA
"I originally bought this package for its HTM-To-CHM
e-documentation wizard.
I am using this wizard
to generate electronic books
and manuals. I have also recently started
with the programming tutorials and
find them clear and easy to follow.
I am now writing my own programs.
Thanks for a great product!"
Jonathan Wilson - SF, CA
"I continue to work with the Visual Basic
self-study course and continue to
admire the outstanding instructional
quality. Very easy to learn and understand."
